Volunteer
Volunteers are an essential part of everything we do. They offer open hearts and helping hands—creating safe spaces, supporting grieving families and ensuring our programs remain free and accessible to all.
Volunteers Make Healing Possible
Whether you're crafting with kids, guiding support groups or pitching in at events, your time and energy make a meaningful difference. Ready to walk alongside others in their grief journey? There’s a place for you here.
Support Group Facilitators
Support group facilitators play a vital role in creating safe, compassionate spaces for those navigating grief. To prepare for this role, volunteers complete our Grief Facilitator Training, where they receive guidance, resources and activity ideas to confidently and compassionately lead meaningful group experiences.
Office Volunteers
Behind-the-scenes support is an important role for Collective for Hope. Our office volunteers help with a variety of tasks such as assembling mailings, organizing supplies, prepping program materials and keeping our space tidy and welcoming. Flexible hours are available year-round. If you're detail-oriented and enjoy helping things run smoothly, this opportunity may be for you.
Family Days & Youth Event Volunteers
These rewarding opportunities allow volunteers to connect with grieving children, teens and families during special events like Family Days, Creative Nights, and seasonal youth gatherings. Volunteers help guide participants through healing crafts and activities that support emotional expression and honor loved ones who have died.
Event Volunteers
From pre-event planning to day-of logistics, event volunteers are essential to the success of our signature annual events—HEALs to the Pavement, Remembrance Walk, Comfort Food Classic, Wave of Light and HOPE for the Holidays. There’s a role for everyone, whether you're passionate about community engagement, organization or simply lending a helping hand.
